Foster Farms Recalls 3.8 Million Pounds of Corn Dogs
According to an announcement by the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), approximately 3,843,040 pounds of chicken and turkey on-a-stick corn dog products are being recalled by Foster Poultry Farms, LLC due to possible contamination of extraneous materials, specifically pieces of wood embedded in the batter.
This action was taken after both the establishment and FSIS received multiple customer complaints, including five that involved injuries.
These items were produced between July 30, 2024, and August 4, 2025...
Conagra Posts Decline in Sales and Profit for Q4 and FY2025
Conagra Brands has reported financial results for both the fiscal year and fourth quarter.
For the quarter, net sales declined 3.5%, driven by a 2.5% drop in volume and a 1.0% negative price/mix impact. Gross profit fell 12.1% to $707 million, as margins were pressured by inflation and weaker sales. Net income was $256 million ($0.53 per share), while adjusted EPS came in at $0.56. Rajbhog Foods Empanada Mislabeling Triggers FSIS Alert
The FSIS has issued a public health alert regarding frozen items labeled as Chicken Curry Empanadas from Rajbhog Foods.
These products may actually contain Apple Cinnamon Empanadas, which include milk, a known allergen. A recall was not initiated because the affected items are no longer available for purchase.
The frozen empanadas were produced on November 14, 2024, and packaged on November 20-21, 2024.
