UK Meat Producer Cranswick Reports 9.7% Revenue Growth in Q1
UK’s Cranswick has reported a 9.7% increase in revenue for the 13 weeks up to 28 June 2025, or the first quarter in its financial year. Like-for-like revenue rose by 7.9%, driven by volume growth, the company said.
The recently acquired food service sausage manufacturer Blakemans on 16 May 2025, also contributed to growth, the trading report showed. And export revenue and volume increased following the reinstatement of the Norfolk site’s China export licence in December 2024.

Tyson Foods Introduces Wright Brand Premium Smoked Sausage Links
Tyson Foods announced the launch of a new product from its subsidiary, Wright Brand.
Wright Brand, established in 1922, is known for its premium, hand-cut, real wood-smoked bacon. The company became part of Tyson Foods in 2001.
Wright Brand Premium Sausage Links are scheduled to launch nationwide in fall 2025, with select retailers already stocking the product.
The lineup includes three varieties:

D.J.’s Boudain, LLC, a Beaumont, Texas, establishment, is recalling approximately 17,720 pounds of boudain sausage link products that may be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically pieces of a pen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

When analyzing UB Pork 42% Trimmings and UB Beef 50% Fresh Chemical Lean Trimmings, both commonly used in hot dog and sausage processing, the weekly average price for pork 42s is trending about 26.2% higher than the weekly average price of beef 50s.
