ANALYSIS: Cuts Gain Ground in US Beef Import Flow
Fresh beef arrivals through FSIS inspection totaled 871,643 MT in the year to date through June 19, 2026, up 5.7% from 824,268 MT in the comparable period of 2025. Boneless trimmings remained the dominant product type at 54.0% of the total, though their share eased 1.6 percentage points year-over-year as cuts absorbed a larger portion of the import flow, rising 24.9% in volume to 194,257 MT and gaining 3.4 percentage points of share.
