ANALYSIS: US Egg Inventory Data Suggest Gradual Rebalancing, Though Supplies Remain Elevated
The latest USDA inventory data suggest supplies are beginning to move lower across several categories, though overall availability remains elevated relative to both historical norms and year-ago levels. Total shell egg inventories declined to 1.49 million cases during the week ending June 8, down 1.3% from the previous week. Breaking stock inventories posted an even steeper decline, falling 4.6% to 303,600 cases.
