ANALYSIS: USDA Inventory Data Signals Easing Supply Pressure in US Egg Market
The USDA's latest National Weekly Shell Egg Inventory report reflected one of the first notable shifts in supply conditions the market has seen in months. Total shell egg holdings fell to 1.78 million cases for the week ending May 11, down 138,400 cases — or 7.2% — from the prior week, slipping below the five-year average for the corresponding week for the first time this year.
