US Agricultural Exports/Imports Threatened by Trump Trade Actions (April 1)
U.S. President Donald Trump is expected on Wednesday to announce 20% tariffs on most goods imported to the United States after previously slapping steep duties on autos, steel and aluminum and on goods from China, Mexico and Canada.
The moves have triggered retaliation and threats of further countermeasures by the top importers of U.S. farm products, and prompted wild swings in commodities markets.
U.S. consumers could see prices rise for food, from meat and dairy products to avocados and fresh fruits and vegetables, as a result of tariffs
