Australia’s beef exports in February 2025 soared by 45.0% month-on-month (MoM) to reach 117,502 metric tons (mt), according to data from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (DAFF).
This 36,453 mt jump aligned with historical trends, as shipments typically rise following the shorter January working month. The growth was supported by strong demand from key markets including the United States (US), China, Japan, and Korea. Despite this, shipments headed to Southeast Asia saw a decline, limiting further growth.
