ANALYSIS: Turkey Industry Faces Record Low Harvests During a Period of Rising Demand
November’s turkey slaughter numbers set a new seasonal low, with 16.4 million head of turkeys harvested. This continues the trend observed throughout 2024, during which five of the previous ten months recorded harvest values that set new record lows for their respective months. Notably, the lowest harvest ever recorded occurred in March, with only 15.5 million turkeys processed.
