President Joe Biden recently issued an executive order declaring Christmas Eve, December 24, 2024, as a holiday for federal employees, with exceptions for those in national security, defense, or other public need.
Under Donald Trump's previous presidency, federal employees were given Christmas Eve off in 2018, 2019, and 2020, while President Barack Obama designated December 26, 2014, as an additional holiday.
