Australia’s beef exports surged in the first quarter of 2026, with year-to-date (YTD) shipments totaling 365,199 metric tons (MT), according to the latest data from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF).
Underpinned by robust production and a continuation of the strong momentum seen in 2025, outbound shipments rose a solid 17.4% year-on-year (YOY). This momentum was fueled by a "safeguard rush" to China and Korea and an ongoing supply vacuum in the United States (US).
