Great Britain Feed Demand Expected to Rise in 2024/25, Driven by Cattle and Sheep
The demand for compound feed in Great Britain is expected to rise in the 2024/25 season, driven primarily by increased production in the cattle and sheep sectors.
According to recent AHDB data, cattle feed production has risen by 112,000 tonnes year-on-year (y-o-y), while demand for sheep feed has climbed 19% y-o-y. The improved affordability of inputs has contributed to these gains, AHDB said.
However, challenges persist in other sectors.
