ANALYSIS: A 2024 Review of Broiler Headcounts, Hatchability, and Consumer Preference
2024 rounded out the year with a cumulative broiler headcount that was 1.2% below that of 2023. While this lower percentage doesn’t seem to fit the narrative of the past three months, it actually helps illustrate the adaptability of the industry in the wake of the lowest yearly hatchability average of the past five years.
