Truck Transportation Numbers Rev up in March, But Issues Persist
New figures released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) last Friday show once again that February’s reported numbers were not consistent with the rise in truck transportation jobs experienced over the last several months.
In fact, the number of jobs reported for March was 1.612 million, which was 5,700 jobs above February’s revised total. Importantly, this shows that the sector has gained more than 180,000 jobs since a major cut of nearly 85,000 jobs due to the pandemic in April of 2020...
