USAPEEC's Jose Luis Cruz Passes Away
Jose Luis Cruz, a treasured member of the USAPEEC family and a longtime friend and advocate for the industry, passed away Saturday at the age of 65 following his struggle to recover from the effects of a debilitating stroke and fall he suffered in December 2018.
A native of Mexico City, Jose Luis joined USAPEEC in 1996 after serving as an agricultural economist for the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service. In his more than 30 years in the industry, he was held in high esteem for his ability to nurture relationships between the U.S. industry and organizations in Mexico including UNA, ANETIF, and COMECARNE.
