Egg Industry Icon, Arthur Papetti, Passes Away
Arthur Papetti, beloved father, grandfather and businessman, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the age of 87.
Arthur worked in his family’s business since the age of 11, on a small dairy farm in Elizabeth that started in 1908 when Arthur’s grandparents, Anthony and Mary De Stefano, immigrated from Calabria, Italy. Later, Arthur’s parents evolved the family business into Papetti’s Hygrade Poultry & Eggs, transitioning the family business from dairy to poultry. Arthur and his brother Tony helped their parents deliver fresh, high-quality chicken to their customers all throughout their teen years.
